JSpell Evolution Windows IIS Installation Walkthrough

JSpell Evolution is an Ajax based spell checker. This page documents the installation screens you will encounter during a typical installation on Microsoft Windows.

Start the installation program from the icon.

The installer will launch with the Welcome screen.

Enter your license information, or choose Trial (default).

Choose your web server, on Windows the installer will default to Microsoft IIS.

Choose the software installation directory. This is where the server side executables (Windows service, uninstaller) will be kept.

Specify your website document root. On Microsoft Windows IIS, this is usually C:\Inetpub\wwwroot. You must use the directory browser to specify the website document root.

Enter the Start menu folder, or accept the default.

The installer will copy files to the specified directory and then will test your installation. This is a self-test which makes sure that the demo page will work.

Click on the URL in the Installation Complete screen to launch the internal test page.
